Hello everyone，it is glad to meet you，my name is Nong Yanxing，you can also call me Virita, It’s my English name. I am a Howell School’s girl and I am an outgoing girl too, so I like playing jokes with others.

I am fourteen years old and I have learnt English for six years now I’ve loved English since the first time, I’ve heard it from a tape. The voice from the tape was very wonderful and the language was so nice .That time I thought，how wonderful the language is! And if I can speak English as well as the speaker in the tape，that will be amazing! So I asked my mum：“Can I learn English? I really love it!” “Of course you can，but are you sure about it? Can you insist on it?” She was a bit excited. “Of course I can，mum. I love it very much，I want to learn it. ”I said confidently，“Oh，my good kid，you are very good，I am so excited about you are interested in English. ”She gave me a sweet hug. We laughed together. Then，I’ve started my English learning way.

At the beginning，I loved English because it sounds comfortable ,but I can’t believe that how difficult to learn English grammar. Then I felt tired, and I really want to give it up. Buton that main time，my English teacher found me was a bit strange，“What wrong with you，Virita?You look a bit strange.” “Nothing, I just think English grammar is so difficult. It is boring，I don’t want to learn it anymore!” “Why?You can’t give it up，Virita. I can help you just trust me.”“Really?” “Of course!” Then she helped me with my English grammar after class everyday. She told me how to find a good way for my own to learn English grammar. How to find a good way to remember the English new words. She told me try to love English! Interests is the best teacher! So my English marks improve very fast. And in the finally exam，I got the best marks at school. I was so happy .But my English teacher warned me again “Don’t be proud of it. Hasty climbers have the sudden falls. You should come on!”

I also like watching Holly Wood movies, for example, The Green Man in the Avengers is very strong and V in V of vendetta is very cool. Most of actors and actresses speak English in the film, and I really want to understand the whole meaning about a film without any caption one day. Itis difficult for me to make it come true. I should work harder.

English is a very beautiful language .And itis my friend，a real friend. Although I can’t feel it with my hands, but I can feel it with my heart. English brought me a lot and I have a big dream about English. To make it come true ,I should work harder and learn more Western culture. We’ll love each other more and more.

Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is a growth. If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me. 

When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job. 

Once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” I will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process I will combine learning with doing. If I can achieve this “future”, I think tha

t I really grow up. And I deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future. How to say future? Maybe it’s a nice wish. Lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

The Dream Came True I wanna welcome everybody here in this cheer team. Thank you for coming here this morning to stand on my side cheering me on.

It’s my dream to have the opportunity to challenge all the foreign athletes to the championship at this great occasion: 2008 Olympic Games. Now, the dream came true. As an athlete of China, I’m here to win the gold medal of orienteering for our motherland. I’m so proud of being one of the best players in the world. But could you believe I had been a lazy girl when I was in Junior High. I’m not kidding!

At that time, running was my last favorite. I really don’t know how to describe the first time I was on the track. It was horrible. When I started to run, I was simply out of breath. And while I touched the finishing line, I really didn’t know if I was still alive. It’s so funny, huh? But it’s true, I did. Well, something happened and changed the situation. We won the right of holding the Olympic Games in 2008.

After that, sports became a kind of game in campus. And there are many sports clubs in school. One day someone asked me:“are you gonna try one of those?”First I felt so wired. “Try to get into sports clubs? Are you kidding?” I said. And she goes: “Why not?? It’s not hard at all, and so fascinating!” So I did tried one and I was so lucky to become one of those who did orienteering. That is a fantastic sport! You need to run and find where to go just by using a map and a compass. It’s wasn’t popular in China at first. But when we heard it might become a new event in 2008, we did practiced hard, and aimed to win the first Champion of orienteering in the world. When we practiced, there were a lot of troubles.

You know, sometimes you need to go with your feet, but sometimes you need to go with your heart. In some situations, we faced the difficulties and problems. And we need to solve that through teamwork and strong willpower. So we can run faster, go higher and be stronger. That is what we say—Olympic spirit. Now the dream came true. I’m standing here with all my body and my heart put in sports. So do the people from all over the world to HERE at the Olympic Games. It’s the Olympic Games that make us together. We are here for a big day of sport;。

Helloeveryone! My name is Ren Qingwen. I am 8years old. I like drawing, reading, andtelling stories. Today I am telling you a story- The missing forest

Once upon atime, there was a kingdom of forest. Everyone lived there happily. Some werehunting, some were making clothes, and some were catching fishes. Life there waswonderful.

There was alaw in this kingdom -nobody could cut down trees. Once the prince was chasing arabbit and he kicked down three little trees by accident. The king knew it andhe let the guards hit the prince thirty times to punish him.

The king wasvery old. Before he dead, he told the prince his last words,” I am very old now. The forest is our last hope. You willbe the new king. You couldn’t change the law, or a lot of monsters will come! Rememberit my son!”

And shortlyafterwards, the prince became the new king. And the country became stronger andstronger. He was a good king but he still grudged that law!

Oneday, a guest came to the kingdom. He showed the king

a drawing.There were houses and buildings on the picture. The king was vey excited. Andhe decided to listen to that man. He commanded to cut down all the trees. Andhe created a new world! Everyone tried to stop him, but it didn’t work.

Trees werecutting down, animals were running away. Tall buildings were built! At thebeginning, people liked the new city,but later something bad happened. All kinds of monsters showed up: rainmonster, hot monster, wind monster and sand monster. People felt sick with theenvironment, because the new citybrought a lot of pollution. People missed the forest, the animals and thelovely city they used to live in. But they were not able to change it at all.They became homeless and had to abandon their city. Watchedthe image lying before him, the king sank into the seat.

Good afternoon,ladies and gentlemen，

I’m Wang from ClassGrade.It’s my pleasure to stand here today to talk about my school—Dalian No.9 Middle school.

Two years ago,when I first stepped into No.9 Middle school,I immediately fell in love with it. It is a beautiful school.The buildings are new and the walls are covered with wild roses that dazzle theeyes in the bee-humming air. I’ve thought of it often.How the grass turns green in the springtime,and how the mocking birds flutter their tails and sing,how the moon shines down on the building,how the Cuckoo Waltz rings out the precious short-lived hours,how the teenagers in bright summer dresses promenade the grassy lawn.

During these two years，my teachers have given me unconditional support,and have given their words of encouragement in good times and their words of consolation in difficult moments.They have always given me alittle more than I asked for and instilled in me the values and principles that govern my life now.It’s the teachers’ instruction here that tells me the art of living is to know when to hold fast and when to let go.The rabbis of old put it this way “A man comes to the world with his fist clenched,but when he dies,his hand is open.” I’ve learned a lot from my classmates and friends,we have overcomed many difficulties.They have always been optimistic and humorous.When my feet hurt,they all cared about me and some of them offered to help me up and down stairs.We play together,we learn together and we grow up together.It’s the help between our classmates that tells me how to love my life.However mean life is ,meet it and live it.It’s the school motto that tells me to improve myself,seek truth and develop innovations.

I love my school because of all this,besides,there is something more than I can say.
